Fleet Diagrams

MobileOps is excited to announce the launch of a new feature that lives in our Vessels module—Fleet Diagrams. The Fleet Diagram feature was created to track fleet asset locations (on inland rivers or offshore) in a highly interactive, customizable way. Because they update in real-time, Fleet Diagrams reduce communication overhead and keep both shoreside personnel and vessel crews on the same page. That said, it can also be used to create any type of visual—such as crew boards.

No service should ever be sold without first flourishing a relationship with the consumer. Building and maintaining such ties can benefit both the buyer and the seller in the long run. The 21st century is powered by technology. With this trend many business processes have become much more efficient. Such forms of technology, like MobileOps, which is a software system that tracks and manages all maintenance and safety data for companies in the maritime industry, often get overlooked because of the original paper-based systems are “good enough.” Because paper-based systems fall in the comfort-zone of many businesses and still provide functionality, why would businesses switch?

As CTO at MobileOps I am often asked about cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is a vast, complicated domain and given that the terrain is always shifting, I think it’s best to harbor a degree of paranoia in order to stay on top of potential threats. Given my background in the DevOps and infrastructure automation space, I’ve brought a healthy degree of paranoia and have applied it to the MobileOps platform in the form of our security plan.

The top ambition of all companies is to achieve success in the marketplace. In a world that is rapidly evolving, the ability to adapt to change is crucial in order to steer clear of failure. Change is a funny thing though—we sometimes have to endure short-term discomfort in order to gain long-term success. Change is the only way continuous success is achieved.
